North Macedonia Visa

In order to obtain a visa for a short stay of up to 90 days (visa C), or a transit visa for a period of up to 5 days, the following documents are required:

1. A valid and recognized travel document with a validity period of at least 3 months longer than the intended stay in the Republic;
2. A travel document with a validity period of at least 3 months longer than the intended stay in the Republic, accompanied by a traveler’s insurance policy obtained from the country of residence, as derived from insurance rights;
3. A written guarantee or letter from a positive Macedonian physical/legal entity.
4. Proof of sufficient funds for the stay in the Republic of North Macedonia (e.g., a credit card with a photo);
5. A recent color photograph, on a white background, with a clear and faithful representation of the applicant’s face;
6. Proof of payment of the visa application processing fee;
7. A completed visa application form.

The temporary residence permit visa (Visa D) is issued for a single entry and the right to stay for up to 30 days to a foreigner intending to reside in the Republic of North Macedonia. To obtain this type of visa, the foreigner personally submits the visa application to the competent diplomatic or consular representation of the Republic of North Macedonia, no less than 15 and no more than 6 months before the planned entry into the Republic of North Macedonia. Along with the visa application for temporary residence permit (Visa D), the foreigner must also submit an application for temporary residence permit. The D visa is issued after the Ministry of Internal Affairs issues a temporary residence permit decision. The foreigner issued with a D visa is obliged to report to the Ministry of Internal Affairs within 5 days from the date of entry into the Republic of North Macedonia, which will, in turn, issue a temporary residence permit within 25 days from the date of the call, for entry into the Republic of North Macedonia
